Reproduction Horlick's Emergency Rations Mark III This is a modern-day reproduction of the British WW II Horlick’s Emergency Food Ration, Mark III. Even though this commercially labeled box was initially only intended for aircrews, it was a much sought-after ration by all forces, and was often carried by commandoes, airborne types, and other independent units as a supplement to the Army Mark I and Mark II rations. It contains 12 food tablets that were meant to sustain a person for 24 hours. Our tin contains real food ration tablets, that will sustain a person for 24 hours. That’s “sustain,” not provide a satisfying meal...Still, your specialist kit should not be without this item. The tin box is commercially marked, is authentically painted RAF Sand Yellow, and has the Armed Services oversleeve with instructions for use. Several of the lads actually carry these in their real world 24-hour emergency kit, which makes good sense. If they are a good emergency back-up for a WW II re-enactor, they will also do good service for a civilian working late, traveling back country roads, or stuck in rush hour traffic. PLEASE NOTE: You are bidding for one tin. The photo that accompanies the auction shows three tins, in order to show the various details. The auction is for one tin, however. |

Horlick's Emergency Rations Mark III with Refill Kit This is a modern-day reproduction of the British WW II Horlick’s Emergency Food Ration, Mark III. By popular demand, we have added a refill kit. While designed in the style of other WW II British rations, the refill kit was not a standard military item. However many re-enactors and exhibitors have asked for a spare set of tablets - either to re-use the tin, or to display the tin and the contents without breaking the seal on the tin. The tin and refill kit each contain 12 real food ration tablets, which will sustain a person for 24 hours. Your specialist kit should not be without this item. The tin box is commercially marked, is authentically painted RAF Sand Yellow, and has the Armed Services oversleeve with instructions for use. These kits are being carried by some of our combat troops in the Middle East, and they have provided backup food for hunters, hikers, and commuters stuck in rush hour traffic. They have a shelf life on 7-10 years, so you can throw a kit into your pack or glove box, and forget about it until you need it. |

British Rations Heater - Tommy Cooker Eager to cook up Yaffle or "Brew Up", but no one has prepared a cooking fire or brought a RSC Mess Section along? Willing to fight enemies to the death, but unwilling to risk life and limb on a suicidal Petrol Cooker? Never did get your issue of Solid Fuel Cookers? Well, there is hope, lads! Cook on the WW 2 version of the jelled fuel "Blackie Brand" Patent Tommy Cooker that has seen use from the Sudan of the 1880’s, on through the Trenches of WW1 to the Blitzkrieg, and clear into today's British Army! Our stoves feature the same sturdy simplicity of the originals! The Cookers consist of a cooking ring that sits on the fuel container and is extremely lightweight. The fuel tins themselves contain sufficient fuel for 6 hours of continual operation, enough to heat tea water for even the most fashionable regiment! Each cooker comes with a tin of jelled fuel. While these may have contained all sorts of hazardous material during the war, these cookers can be operated in all conditions, even indoors, without any health risks, as they burn jelled alcohol fuel. These will support a mess kit half full of Steak and Kidney, or a P44 Canteen cup full of boiling tea. When we ran out of fuel on one grueling occasion, we used twigs and waxed cardboard from K-Ration boxes and brewed up quite successfully! Sorry - the revolver is not included, offered, or available. |

British WW 2 Early War Tinned Milk Ration
This is a reproduction of the personal-size (5 ounce) tin of evaporated milk, which Tommy was likely to have in his kit to turn a "cuppa" into a steamy delight. This was especially important when using the coarse strong tea found in the Service Blend Ration. A great way to civilize the brew when you and your mates take a break and brew-up. This early war version comes with a buff label, with dates ranging from 1939 to the early 1940's.
